New Horizons Healthcare Expands to Offer Open Access
New Horizons Healthcare is now offering “open access,” making it easier for anyone in the Roanoke region to get medical treatment at its Melrose Avenue location.
Open access offers same-day and walk-in non-emergency medical care to all, patients and non-patients alike. Those who are insured, underinsured or uninsured are all welcome. Same-day appointments can be made to reduce wait time by calling (540) 362-0360.
“Open access is another way New Horizons Healthcare is helping residents of the Roanoke region access high-quality, affordable health care,” said Laura Buennemeyer, a physician assistant with the open access. “At the same time it is helping to reduce non-emergent visits to the ER and the costs associated with that.”
A dedicated medical team of experienced providers is standing by during these open access hours:
- Monday: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
- Tuesday-Thursday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Friday: 8 a.m. to 5 p .m.
- Saturday: 8 a.m. to 5 p .m., effective June 1 | Closed for lunch 12 noon – 1 PM
